CONTENTS:
Familiarisation with the Act and Regulations.
Provincial decree (Quebec) on the transportation of dangerous goods by road, CFR49 (USA).
Interpretation (definitions).
Application / Exemptions.
Classification (9 classes, packing groups).
Selecting proper shipping name, alphabetical and numerical lists.
Safety requirements for packaging (safe, UN and TC/DOT, and incompatible dangerous goods).
Requirements for marking and labelling packages and overpacks.
Requirements of placards applicable to ground transportation.
Completion of documentation.
Knowing and applying the requirements of the Canadian TDG (E.R.P., power of inspectors, occurrence report and equivalent level of safety).
Statutory training requirements.
Practical exercises and exam.
