OBJECTIVES: The participant will have acquired the mandatory training as required by the Canadian TDG Regulations and will be able to: 1. identify his responsibilities, 2. recognize the labels and placards that are required to identify dangerous goods, 3. use the TDG Handbook as reference material, 4. utilize the CHECKLIST before accepting dangerous goods for transport, 5. carry shipping documents that reveal shipping name, primary classification and PIN of each product.
DURATION: 4 hours.
CONTENTS: Familiarisation with the TDG Handbook, the Canadian Act & Regulations. Provincial Decree (Quebec) on the Transportation of Dangerous Goods by road. Application / Exemptions / Responsibilities. Classification (9 classes, packing groups). Safety requirements for packaging (safe, UN and TC/DOT). Requirements for marking and labelling packages and overpacks. Requirements for placards applicable to ground transportation. Completion of shipping documents. Knowing and applying the requirements of the Canadian TDG. Exam. Question period.

MATERIAL: The course includes a TDG Handbook and a training certificate. CFT CANADA Is a training school specialized in the training of personnel and the course meets all the national governmental regulations required for the transportation of dangerous goods by road.
