Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (G.H.S.)

From their production to their handling, transport and use, chemicals are a real danger for human health and the environment. To face this danger, governments have adopted a single, globally harmonized system that is able to protect people from the mismanagement of chemicals. The system will classify them according to their hazards and create a labeling system based on pictograms that are universally understandable. This UN publication covers the scope of GHS that is now available for worldwide implementation.
