Lithium ion batteries are now prohibited onboard a passenger aircraft

Since April 1st, certain restrictions and interdictions have come into force including:

 

  1. The interdiction to carry lithium ion batteriespackaged alone in a passenger aircraft. (Except if contained or packaged with, for example a cell phone, tablet, or other electronic devices.
  1. Restriction to transport lithium ion batterieswhen its charge does not exceed 30% aboard a cargo aircraft.
  1. Restrictions concerning the number of packages of lithium ion batteriesor lithium metal batteries permitted by shipment.
