REPEAL OF THE LIMITATION PERIOD FOR DANGEROUS GOODS

Transport Canada has extended the statute of limitations to impose penalties for infractions committed in relation to the Act on the transport of dangerous goods. This means that Transport Canada can go back 5 years instead 2 years from the occurrence of the event date to impose sanctions.
