Shippers (Consignors) TDG ground – Initial

OBJECTIVE:  The participant will be able to prepare a shipment of dangerous goods by ground according to the Canadian TDG regulations.

 

DURATION : 2 days.

CONTENT :

• Familiarize with the Canadian TDG regulations.
• Provincial application (Québec) for the transport of dangerous goods by ground.
• Interpretation (definitions).
• Application / exemptions.
• Classification (9 classes and packing groups).
• Selection of proper shipping names, alphabetical and numerical lists.
• Packing instruction and standards : UN, safety and TC/DOT.
• Marking and labeling.
• Placarding and labeling requirements.
• Shipping documents.
• Knowledge and application of special provisions specific to the Canadian TDG, ERAPs, power of inspectors, accidental spills and equivalency certificates.
• Regulatory requirements and exams.

 

MATERIAL : The participant will be provided with handouts, use of a current edition of the CANADIAN  TDG and TDG guidebook as well as  a training certificate.

CFT CANADA : This training is compliant with national and international standards for shipping dangerous goods by GROUND according to the Canadian TDG.
